Bartestree delivered an excellent all-round performance in a highly positive match. In the field, the team showed great energy and skill, with Anna executing a sharp run out and Caroline taking a superb catch. Kate took a well-earned wicket, while SAKU added to the success by taking a catch off Caroline’s bowling. Chasing a target of 249, the team remained focused and composed.
With the bat, Bartestree were dominant throughout. Tharindi led the charge with an exciting display of power hitting, striking multiple sixes. Followed by Caroline and Saku keeping the scoreboard ticking with strong shots off the walls, while Sonal and Annie provided a solid foundation with disciplined defensive play. Kate and Anna also contributed effectively, combining smart use of the walls with reliable defence.
The innings was marked by consistency and control, with the team losing only one wicket. This outstanding collective effort saw Bartestree surpass their target comfortably, finishing on an impressive 278 to secure a well-deserved victory.
Bartestree VS Kington
Bartestree produced a strong and spirited performance, particularly in the field, setting the tone early with an excellent display of bowling. The attack got off to an incredible start, with Saku leading the way by taking two wickets and adding a catch to her name. Liv was outstanding, claiming three wickets, including one well taken by Kate, while Annie also contributed with a wicket that was safely caught by Debbie. Chasing a target of 115, the team showed real intent from the outset.
With the bat, Bartestree demonstrated determination and teamwork across all pairs. Tharindi and Liv opened the innings confidently, building runs steadily, with Tharindi striking an impressive six in the very first over. Pili and Saku followed with a determined partnership, keeping the momentum going with a composed approach.
Debbie and Annie added flair in the third pairing, with Debbie playing some excellent shots off the wall to accelerate the scoring. In the final partnership, Anna and Kate worked hard to add valuable runs, both making effective use of the walls to keep the scoreboard moving.
Although the final result saw Kington reach 315, Bartestree can take great pride in a very strong all-round performance. Their fielding effort stood out in particular, with tight bowling, multiple wickets, and disciplined, resilient defence throughout the match.
