The 1st XI strengthened their position at the top of Division Two with an impressive victory over fellow promotion contenders Bredon, opening up a healthy lead with just 5 league matches remaining.
The 2nd XI produced one of the performances of the season, chasing down Ombersley’s total in style after teenage seamer Miles Anderson claimed a remarkable five wickets in just nine balls, including a hat-trick. Meanwhile, the 3rd XI came up against a strong Colwall side but, as always, continued to battle hard and keep spirits high.
Our junior section also rounded off another fantastic chapter. The U11s completed a superb season with an internal match after their scheduled fixture was cancelled, while the U9s finished their campaign with smiles, enthusiasm and plenty of promising cricket on show. A huge thank you goes to all our coaches, parents and volunteers whose commitment has made another successful summer possible.
Away from league cricket, our Women’s Softball team enjoyed a brilliant day at Colwall Cricket Club, joining celebrations marking 100 years of women’s cricket.
As always, thank you to everyone who sends in reports, photos and stories each week. This newsletter only happens because of the fantastic efforts of so many people across the club. We hope you enjoy this week’s edition.
